Generic Training in the Psychological Management of Children and Adolescents. L. Jeffrey, I. Kolvin, M.R. Robson, D. McI. Scott and E.G. Tweddle. The Journal of the Association of Workers for Maladjusted Children. Vol. 7, No. 1, pp. 32-43, 1979.

Abstract:

The authors argue that in order to achieve greater success than exists at present in the psychological management of difficult and disturbed children it is necessary to seek ways of training workers from different disciplines to work collaboratively, using common principles based on a sound theoretical rationale. This one-year joint course, evolved at Newcastle upon Tyne for nurses, occupational therapists and teachers, is described in this paper and may serve as a useful model for other centres.
